Answer: Absolutely. Your therapist will conduct sessions from a private, secure location with a reliable internet connection, and we request that you do the same to ensure maximum privacy. To prevent eavesdropping, you may use headphones and a white noise machine near the door (e.g., a fan or humidifier). We use advanced security and encryption protocols to maintain confidentiality, ensuring a comfortable and secure video conferencing experience.
Question #3: What if we experience technical issues like a frozen or dropped video session?
Answer: At the start of each session, we will confirm the best phone number to contact you in case of technical difficulties. We will try to reboot the video session, and if that is not possible, we will continue the session via phone. To minimize these issues, ensure you have a secure internet connection and, if possible, connect your device to an ethernet port.
Question #4: How do I set up online counselling sessions for my child?
Answer: We request that you help your child connect to the video conferencing platform to prevent any technical difficulties and to facilitate initial communication with their therapist. Depending on the therapist's judgment and the session's goals, you may be asked to remain or leave during the session. If requested to leave, please honor your child's privacy and confidentiality, and keep your phone accessible in case the therapist needs to reach you.
