About the therapist
Do you struggle to embrace the big changes that life likes to throw at us? Are you looking for new strategies to overcome old obstacles? Taking that first step on your counseling journey is often a huge step into the unknown. That is why my approach to counseling values trust and acceptance above all else. Building a secure base allows us to explore your unique life circumstances together with a sense of curiosity and kindness.

I specialize in working with adults and young adults grappling with anxiety, panic disorders, self-image concerns, and social phobias. When confronted with these challenges, we often feel compelled to make decisions to avoid uncomfortable situations rather than choosing to pursue our dreams. My therapy style is Existential-Humanistic, and it allows for us to explore new techniques for facing life’s ongoing challenges with courage, compassion, and humor. Together, we will define your values and start to identify the things that bring a sense of meaning and fulfillment to your life.

My goal is to listen, to foster a sense of exploration, and to support my clients in the rediscovery of their path and purpose. Reach out to me, and let’s get started!

Stress
Anxiety works to ensure that we choose to be safe rather than choosing to act on our values. Working from an ACT and CFT perspective, we will tackle these challenges by defining your values and examining how they have a hand in your decision-making process.
Without mental health training, negative self-talk can be the most persistent voice in our lives. It is our responsibility to learn how to confront these internal messages. During the therapy process, challenging these inner voices and tracking their origins will allow for an examination of negative self-talk and how it serves to damage our self-esteem.
Stress is a powerful force. It hijacks our brains and limits or ability to think calmly and rationally. Through counseling, we will investigate new habits of thinking that pull the mind out of the fight-or-flight response and back towards feelings of safety and security.
